"There is a difference between surviving and living.
Surviving is staying alive in a storm; living is learning how to anchor yourself so the storm no longer dictates your direction."
— Dr. Bruce Perry
My Approach to Healing
Moving Beyond Survival Mode
Healing from trauma is rarely a linear process. With over 28 years of experience across trauma nonprofits, community social work, school counseling, and private practice, I offer a compassionate, relationship-first environment where you feel safe enough to do the deep work.
As a licensed social worker, my focus is helping adults, college students, and youth navigate out of survival mode and back into genuine connection, resilience, and peace.
Integrative, Evidence-Based Modalities
My approach is tailored to the unique way your nervous system and mind process distress. Rather than just talking through the pain, we actively build a lifelong toolbox for emotional literacy and regulation. Core modalities include:
EMDR: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for trauma processing, C-PTSD, and distressing memories.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Compassionate parts-work to understand conflicting emotions and protective patterns.
Somatic & Nervous System Regulation: Body-based mindfulness to help your physiology settle and feel grounded.
CBT & DBT Skills: Practical tools for emotional regulation, cognitive restructuring, and distress tolerance.
